Nonprofit Quarterly Idea Exchange
Nonprofit Quarterly Idea Exchange
Wednesday, September 30, 2026 (8:00 AM - 9:30 AM) (CDT)
Description
Strong donor relationships are built in the moments between fundraising asks. Join the Batavia, Geneva and St. Charles Area Chambers of Commerce for our next Non-Profit Quarterly Idea Exchange, a collaborative program created specifically for nonprofit professionals to learn, share ideas and connect with others doing similar work throughout the Tri-Cities. This quarter’s session, Beyond the Ask: Building Donor Relationships That Last, will focus on practical, low-cost ways nonprofits can keep donors engaged and connected to their mission without every communication feeling like another request for money. Christie Plotzke, CFRE, Associate Vice President of Resource Development for the Association for Individual Development (AID), will lead the conversation and share strategies drawn from her 30 years of experience in the nonprofit sector. During this interactive session, we’ll explore ways to: • Build a balanced donor communication plan • Thank and recognize donors in meaningful, personal ways • Show donors the impact of their support • Tailor outreach to different donor audiences • Engage staff, board members and volunteers in relationship-building • Reconnect with lapsed donors • Recognize when the time may be right for a larger ask Whether you work in development every day or fundraising is simply one of the many hats you wear, this session is designed to provide realistic ideas that can work for organizations of different sizes and budgets. Wednesday, September 30 8:00–9:30 a.m. Geneva Public Library 227 S. 7th St., Geneva This is a complimentary event, but registration is required through your local Chamber.Images
