Met with new member Norma Grahthoff (Country Financial). Norma has prior Chamber experience and is very familiar with Chamber involvement and benefits. She is highly engaged and well connected. Deep involvement with Elgin Hispanic Network: currently Membership Chair (previously Finance Chair), 3rd year serving on board. Also participates in two women?s groups (virtual group 2x/month + informal group). Goals for membership: community involvement, education, and networking. Values education and relationship-building over low cost. Strong service mindset: focuses on matching people to the right plan (not just cheapest), honest/helpful whether or not they become a client. Personal connections: husband grew up in St. Charles and is close friends with Mayor Clint Hull. Norma described herself as a foodie and wine/beer lover and knows many St. Charles restaurants. Membership benefits discussed: Residential Greeter Program: added to interest list; will follow up when new program details finalized. ? Reviewed e-blasts and web banners; encouraged to reach out with questions. Event/engagement opportunities:Discussed hosting a Business After Hours at her office.(Cinco de Mayo idea; also suggested Hispanic Heritage Month as meaningful option).
