You asked. You commented. You reminded us, repeatedly, that you have a really good chili recipe.
Last year, our SOUPer Cook-Off came with one very important rule: SOUP ONLY. No chili. No stews. No exceptions. Well… we heard you!
On Wednesday, November 4, the Women’s Business Council is officially giving chili its moment with our 1st Annual Chili Cook-Off! Chamber committees and groups are invited to bring the heat, with up to two chili entries per group. Whether your recipe is a family favorite, a closely guarded secret, sweet, smoky, spicy, traditional, or completely unexpected, this is your chance to put it to the test against the rest of the Chamber.
Not cooking? Come hungry! Members are invited to stop by, sample the entries, catch up with fellow members, and cast their votes for their favorites. A little friendly competition is encouraged. And just like our SOUPer Cook-Off, this event is about more than bragging rights. There is no cost to participate, but cooks and guests are encouraged to bring non-perishable food donations to help support local food pantries in need.
And for all of our soup lovers… Don’t worry. We would never abandon the soup! Our SOUPer Cook-Off will return for its third year in February with a new twist: the SOUPer-Bowl Cook-Off! We’ll be bringing it back on Thursday, February 11, just before the Super Bowl, for another round of friendly competition and giving back. Two cook-offs. Two chances for bragging rights. And two opportunities to help stock local food pantries.
This event is free to attend, but registration is requested as a courtesy to our hosting Committee.
